Helpful information

SECURITY : The Rolling Hills HOA has strict security; if you have a rental or personal car, they will ask that guests leave an ID at the front gate, which will be returned each time you leave the neighborhood. This is for guest and resident protection, so they know at all times who is in the neighborhood.

ACCESS : The house has an electronic keypad on the front door. You will receive the code via your booking platform (i.e. AirBnB or VRBO) the morning of arrival. PLEASE NOTE: There is a backup lockbox with physical keys in it in case the key malfunctions. The code is the same as the door code.
- If you arrive and the drive-through gate is closed, there is a lockbox to the side of the gate (same code as the front door) - there is a set of keys that you can use to unlock the walk-through gate to open the big gate and drive in.
QUIET HOURS : Rolling Hills is a residential neighborhood. The HOA strictly enforces quiet hours from 10 pm - 8 am; please refrain from making excessive noise that may bother the neighbors. Guests will be responsible for any fines incurred by HOA violations.

ACs and STREAMING SERVICES : We will leave on the ACs so you know they are working upon arrival. The TV is set up for streaming services but guests must sign in under their account - streaming accounts are not provided.
GRILL : There are two grills available for your use - one in the outdoor kitchen of the rooftop terrace and the other located on the pool deck. The grill MUST be seasoned with oil before each use - there is oil provided for this purpose. For the rooftop grill, PLEASE be sure to push the knob in when you turn it off, pushing the dial in and turning the knob until you meet resistance.
TRASH is picked up Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday by the HOA. Please put trash in the outdoor receptacle and be SURE it’s covered to avoid problems with rodents!
BEACH ACCESS : You must go to the Rolling Hills Security gate in order to get a pass and access the beach. They will gladly guide you down to the beach, as it can be tricky to find and you have to cross over another property to get there.
- This beach is a FEDERALLY PROTECTED AREA for turtles. Absolutely NO vehicles are allowed on the beach at any time or for any reason.
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION : The only transportation services legally allowed at the airport are private transportation companies, taxis, and rental cars. Please click the “Transportation” link if you would like to see rates for private transportation from the airport to the property.
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION : Uber is available in Los Cabos, but is notoriously unreliable. Taxis are great for returning to the house, but it can be hard to call them for pickups. We recommend a private driver named Jesus Chico- he is very reliable, English-speaking, and charges comparable rates to Uber.

WATER : Please remember that Los Cabos is a desert region that experiences water shortages, so water conservation is crucial. This property is almost completely off the grid and has its own water supply provided by water trucks that fill the underground cisterns. Our team will check the water levels regularly during your stay and will call a water truck to fill the cistern if needed. Water trucks typically operate from 8 am to 8 pm in Los Cabos.
POOL AND GARDENING : There is a plunge pool available to cool off on those hot summer days. The gardener comes Wednesday/Saturday, and the pool service comes Tuesday/Friday. Even if you are using the pool, PLEASE allow the pool service to quickly take care of the pool to avoid cloudiness or other issues during your stay. The pool is heated for three hours daily as part of the rental rate, and can be heated more for an additional charge.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY : Our concierge staff is available through your booking platform (i.e. Airbnb, VRBO, etc) from 9 am to 9 pm Cabo time, 7 days a week.
