Playa Santa Maria - Head towards Cabo san lucas - it’s about a km after Chileno Bay- there’s signage for this turn also. This is another beautiful bay with great snorkeling; again, pack it all up and spend the day. It has a beautiful new parking lot and path down to the beach, but it is a bit of hike. Besides snorkeling, there are a lot of divers doing beach dives, paddle boarders, and kayakers.
The Cross - Located on the mountain above Lovers/Divorce Beach - not for small children. There is a dog kennel that has a tip box - if you want the simplest route drop a tip and cut through the kennel. If you don’t go through the kennel, the proper route can be tricky to find. It is totally worth the hike though - the views are amazing!
Playa Chileno Bay - - approximately 15 km from Cabo San Lucas. A beautiful beach for snorkeling, swimming and just hanging out. Pack a cooler, umbrella, towels, and plan to spend the day. Spectacular variety of fish to see, just off the shore!
The Marina cabo and Medano Beach - Downtown Cabo San Lucas. Everyone should check it out at least once – you’ll find everything from bars, restaurants, and expensive shopping to flea markets and peddlers. Can be pricey but worth the day trip - check out Cabo Blue for great drink specials, and try to avoid going on Cruise Ship days!
Organic Market - San Jose del Cabo - if you are coming on a Saturday and only staying one week, a stop on the way into town… it’s worth it for fresh everything! Vegetables, fruit, breads, salsas, eggs, chicken… you name it, they have it – plus, you can grab a yummy bite to eat! Can be hard to find, but Google maps should take you right there.
Shooters - While you’re in San Jose you should definitely check out this place… take a left when you leave the market, then head toward downtown San Jose. Grab a drink at the roof top bar - food is good, service is great!
Art and Beer - On the way to Todo Santos, just before Cerritos Beach on the same side - at 69 km marker. This cool little place sustained some serious damage during the hurricane but it is still worth the stop. They serve amazing margaritas and the staff is very welcoming!
Cerritos Beach - Totally worth a stop! This is just past Art and Beer; turn down the second dirt road (please note, “road” is a term used very loosely…), around the 67 km marker. This is a surf beach, but worth the drive even if you aren’t a surfer! If you want to give it a try you can rent boogie boards or surfboards right on the beach. Pack a cooler and just park it for the day! There is a surf club where you can eat and buy drinks.
Todos Santos - Approximately 72 km from Cabo San Lucas, towards La Paz. An artsy town with great little shops, restaurants, and bars… don’t miss the chance to see Hotel California.
Tequila Sunrise - Across the street from Hotel California. Have the owner make you one of his famous margaritas!
Market/Baja Bean - A quaint little market that will take you back in time… Open Sundays from 9-1 - take a left when heading to Todos Santos -the sign will say Baja Bean Market.
Oasis - This restaurant is a definite stop on the way to or from Todos Santos. It’s a cool spot with fantastic food! Highly recommend the tuna as well as the stuffed chicken.
